2026 Beta Motorcycles 430 RS
Go Anywhere. Do Anything. Ride the Trail to the Pavement.
The 2026 Beta 430 RS is a street-legal dual-sport motorcycle built for riders who don't want to choose between the pavement and the dirt. With a 430.9cc fuel-injected four-stroke engine, six-speed transmission, long-travel Sachs suspension, on-demand traction control, and 50-state street-legal status, the 430 RS is designed to connect the roads and trails that other motorcycles have to leave separated.
For riders here in Sanford and Central North Carolina, that opens up a lot of possibilities. Ride pavement out of town, turn onto a gravel road, find a forest service road or established off-road route, and keep exploring. The 430 RS is built around that kind of riding.
It's a dirt bike you can ride to the dirt.
431cc Four-Stroke Power
The 430 RS uses a 430.9cc liquid-cooled, four-valve single-cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection and dual injectors.
Beta describes the 430 as having the revving character of the smaller 350 while providing more overall horsepower and torque.
Engine Highlights
430.9cc four-stroke single-cylinder
Liquid cooled with cooling fan
Four-valve cylinder head
Titanium intake valves and steel exhaust valves
95mm bore × 60.84mm stroke
12.33:1 compression ratio
42mm throttle body
Dual fuel injectors
Electric start
Six-speed transmission
O-ring chain final drive
Separate engine and transmission oil compartments
Independent dyno testing by Dirt Rider measured 35.7 horsepower and 27.7 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheel.
That combination makes the 430 RS a great middle ground for riders who want plenty of power without moving all the way up to the 500.
️ 50-State Street Legal
Here's what really separates the RS from a dedicated off-road motorcycle.
The 430 RS is 50-state street legal, allowing you to use pavement to connect your riding areas instead of loading the motorcycle onto a trailer every time the trail ends.
It comes equipped with street-legal equipment including:
Headlight
Taillight
Turn signals
Fold-down mirrors
Horn
DOT-approved tires
Trail Tech Voyager GPS/navigation unit
That makes the RS especially interesting for riders who enjoy exploring rather than simply riding laps in one location.
Built for Central North Carolina
Think about a typical Saturday around Sanford.
You leave home on pavement, ride toward the countryside, turn onto a gravel road, and eventually find yourself looking for the next trail or dirt road to explore.
That's where a bike like the 430 RS makes sense.
Instead of needing a truck and trailer for every ride, you've got a motorcycle that can legally travel the road sections between off-road adventures.
It's a great fit for riders who enjoy:
Gravel roads
Fire roads
Forest roads
Dual-sport routes
Backroad exploration
Trail connections
Camping trips
Weekend adventures
Commuting combined with recreational riding
And when you want to plan a longer ride, check out the Trail Riding resources on our website for ideas and preparation.
Sachs Suspension With Real Adjustability
The 430 RS isn't just a street bike with knobby tires.
Beta gives the RS serious off-road suspension.
Up front is a 48mm Sachs ZF open-cartridge fork with adjustable:
Spring preload
Compression damping
Rebound damping
The fork provides 11.6 inches of travel.
Out back, the Sachs shock provides:
Spring preload adjustment
High-speed compression adjustment
Low-speed compression adjustment
Rebound adjustment
11.4 inches of travel
That gives riders plenty of adjustment for different rider weights, terrain and riding conditions.
And that's something our Service Department can help with—getting the suspension properly set up for the way you actually ride.
️ On-Demand Traction Control
The 2026 RS models feature on-demand traction control, with the traction-control and map controls integrated into the handlebar pad.
That's useful when conditions change.
Loose gravel.
Wet leaves.
Mud.
Hard-packed dirt.
Slippery climbs.
You can choose when you want the additional electronic assistance instead of having a system constantly dictating how you ride.
Trail Tech Voyager GPS
The 430 RS comes equipped with a Trail Tech Voyager GPS navigation unit.
That's a particularly useful feature on a motorcycle designed to explore beyond the pavement.
When you're spending the day connecting roads and trails, navigation becomes much more important than it is on a simple commute.
21-Inch Front / 18-Inch Rear Wheels
The traditional dual-sport wheel combination gives the 430 RS the foundation it needs for off-road riding.
Wheels & Tires
21-inch front wheel
18-inch rear wheel
DOT Maxxis Enduro tires
260mm front floating brake rotor
240mm rear brake rotor
The larger front wheel helps the motorcycle roll over obstacles and irregular terrain, while the 18-inch rear provides a wide selection of dual-sport and off-road tire options.
Slim, Agile Chassis
One of the things Beta emphasizes about the RS platform is its slim feel.
The 430 RS has a 58.7-inch wheelbase, 12.2-inch ground clearance, and a listed dry weight of approximately 237 pounds before fuel.
That lightweight, narrow feel is a big part of what makes a dual-sport motorcycle enjoyable once you leave the pavement.
If you find yourself picking your way through a technical section, maneuvering around trees or changing lines on a trail, you want a motorcycle that feels manageable rather than oversized.
Easy Air-Filter Access
Beta paid attention to something every off-road rider eventually has to deal with: air-filter maintenance.
The 430 RS features a quick-access airbox, and the air filter can be serviced without tools. The seat also uses a push-button removal system.
That's exactly the kind of detail you'll appreciate after riding dusty or sandy trails.
Because when you've spent the weekend putting dirt miles on the 430, maintenance shouldn't have to become an all-day project.
New 2026 Chassis & Updates
For 2026, Beta updated the RS platform with a new main frame featuring a larger backbone tube, designed to reduce flex and provide a more stable feel.
Other updates include:
Xtrig FlexFix elastomer handlebar mounts
New rear brake master cylinder
Larger-volume rear muffler
Removable spark arrestor
Updated EFI with twin injectors
200-watt high-output stator
Integrated traction control/map switch
Sachs ZF suspension
Voyager GPS navigation
These updates make the 2026 430 RS an especially interesting choice for riders who want a modern dual-sport without giving up the off-road focus that defines Beta's RS line.
️ Take the Long Way
The 430 RS is the motorcycle for the rider who looks at a paved road and wonders:
"I wonder where that dirt road goes?"
You can ride out of Sanford, explore the backroads, connect dirt sections and continue farther than you originally planned.
That's the advantage of a capable street-legal dual sport.
You're not limited to the pavement.
You're not limited to a dedicated off-road riding area.
You can connect the two.
️ Keep Your Beta Ready for the Next Adventure
A dual-sport motorcycle sees a little bit of everything.
Dust. Mud. Water. Gravel. Pavement. Rocks.
Regular maintenance becomes especially important.

️ Beta RS 430 vs. the Typical Dirt Bike
The biggest difference is simple:
You can ride the RS 430 to the trail.
A dedicated motocross or off-road motorcycle requires a truck or trailer to get to the riding area.
The Beta gives you the ability to ride from your driveway, connect roads and trails, explore throughout the day, and ride home.
For the rider who wants one motorcycle that can handle both pavement and dirt, that's a pretty compelling combination.
