Powersports Service Schedule Guide

Service intervals may vary by model and riding conditions. Always follow your owner’s manual when available.

Street Motorcycles (Honda, Suzuki, Kymco, SSR, Beta)

First Service:

  • 600 miles or 1 month

    • Change engine oil & filter

    • Fastener and torque inspection

    • Chain adjustment and lubrication

    • General safety inspection

Routine Maintenance

Important Notes:

  • First oil change: Usually at 600 miles (break-in service)

  • Severe use (short trips, high RPM riding, stop-and-go traffic): closer to 3,000 miles

  • Synthetic oil may allow slightly longer intervals, but most manufacturers still cap it around 4,000–5,000 miles

  • 4,000 miles or 6 month intervals

    • Change engine oil & filter

    • Chain service

    • Brake inspection

  • 16,000 miles

    • Valve clearance inspection (model dependent)

    • Spark plugs

    • Air filter

Annual Service:

  • Brake fluid inspection or replacement

  • Battery test

  • Cooling system inspection

  • Full safety check

Off-Road Motorcycles/Dirt Bikes (Honda, Suzuki, SSR, Beta)

First Service:

  • 5–10 hours (3-4 tanks of fuel) or 1 month

    • Change engine oil & filter

    • Spoke, chain, and fastener inspection

    • Valve adjustment

    • Clean or replace air filter

    • General safety inspection

Routine Maintenance

Important Notes:

  • For an off-road motorcycle (dirt bike), oil change intervals are much shorter than street bikes due to higher RPM use, clutch sharing engine oil, and dirt exposure.

  • High-performance or race models: 👉 Every 5–10 hours in aggressive riding conditions

  • Trail / recreational riding: 👉 Every 10–15 hours

  • Every 10–15 hours

    • Change engine oil & filter

    • Air filter service

  • 30 hours

    • Valve clearance inspection

    • Spark plug

  • 50 hours

    • Suspension inspection

    • Wheel bearings

    • Steering head bearings

ATVs (Honda, Suzuki, Kymco)

    • Change engine oil & filter

    • Front and rear differential fluids

    • Fastener and chassis inspection

    • Valve adjustment

    • Clean or replace air filter

    • General safety inspection

  • Always check the owner’s manual for model-specific recommendations

  • We recommend changing your ATV’s oil every 50 hours of riding or at least once a year to keep your engine running smoothly.

  • 100 hours or 500 miles

    • Change engine oil & filter

    • Air filter service

    • Brake inspection

    • Differential fluids

    • Cooling system inspection

Side-by-Side (SXS / UTV) (Honda, Kymco, Segway)

First Service:

  • 20 hours or 100 miles or 1 month

    • Change engine oil & filter

    • Transmission or DCT inspection

    • Front and rear differential fluids

    • Fastener and chassis inspection

    • Clean or replace air filter

    • General safety inspection
