The 2025 Honda CRF250R is built for riders who want a serious 250cc motocross machine with technology and chassis development directly influenced by Honda's factory race program. For 2025, Honda made significant changes to the CRF250R, including a new frame, revised suspension components, new triple clamps, updated suspension linkage, and improved front-brake feel. Honda also added HRC Launch Control and three selectable riding modes, giving riders more ways to tailor the bike to track conditions.

This is not a trail bike. The CRF250R is a closed-course motocross machine designed for riders who want to charge into corners, attack jumps and spend their weekends turning laps.

249cc Honda Unicam Power

The CRF250R's 249cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder four-stroke engine is designed around strong motocross performance.

Honda uses a 44mm throttle body with programmed fuel injection, a high compression ratio of 13.9:1, and a five-speed transmission to deliver the kind of responsive power racers expect from a modern 250 four-stroke.

The CRF250R comes equipped with a 49mm leading-axle inverted Showa SPG coil-spring fork with adjustable compression and rebound damping.

The fork provides 12.2 inches of travel.

Out back, Honda uses a Pro-Link Showa single shock with spring-preload, compression- and rebound-damping adjustment and 12.1 inches of travel.
